Floats, lavishly dressed dancers and powerful percussion sections paraded through Rio De Janeiro's Sambadrome.
Monday night six top tier samba schools had their chance to perform for the crowd and the judges.
Six other schools paraded on Sunday.
Parades in the Sambadrome are the highlight of the six day long carnival in Rio.
There are also hundreds of street parties and other events.
