Actor Clint Eastwood has explained why he had a chat with the chair at the republican national convention.
Eastwood says talking with the chair was a spur-of-the-moment decision.
He made the decision when someone backstage asked if he wanted to sit down.
Eastwood was told to speak for about five minutes.
He ended up talking for about 12 and says no one ever gave him the signal to wrap.
Eastwood says he doesn't regret anything he said while on stage.
