American Airlines says it will be the first U.S. airline to install lie-flat seats on transcontinental flights. The airline says it will put the seats on flights between New York and California, beginning in November 2013.

10 lie-flat seats will be in first class on the aisle and there will be 20 seats in business class. The seats will be installed on new Airbus A-321 aircraft.
