Researchers at the Prague zoo say they've taken a big step toward preserving a rare turtle species.
The zoo says they've successfully bred Crowned River turtles in captivity for the first time.
It turns out the trick is putting the eggs in water, which signals to the hatchling that it's time to be born.
The turtles used to be common in the rivers of northern India.
They are now listed as threatened because they are hunted for their breastplate, which is believed to be an aphrodisiac.
