A plane that can fly without any "fuel" is in the works near San Francisco.
It's called Solar Impulse.
No power is needed, except what the plane gathers from the sun.
Its massive wingspan collects solar power, which it then stores so it can fly by day or night.
Officials say it handles well, but it'll be awhile before it navigates the globe.
