The Bluegrass Kids will be performing Friday, August 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Clovis Veterans Memorial Auditorium. Listen to your old favorites, songs of today and the Bluegrass Kids own originals blended together in a unique way.

Here's a little more about the kids in the band:
Charlotte Allen MC, plays upright bass, fiddle and sings.
Charlotte is a sophomore at Clovis East High School. She has been taking piano lessons since the 1st grade. She played violin in orchestra in 5th and 6th grades and then started taking fiddle lessons 2 years ago. She started playing upright bass last February and became the Bluegrass Kids bass player last May when the bass player said he could no longer continue. She is in two choirs at Clovis East, reads music well and can sing a note just by looking at it on paper. She also writes music and lyrics. Charlotte loves anything that interacts with people and music. She is a good organizer and became the spokesperson for Bluegrass Kids, as well as occasionally being the MC at other functions. She has also played on stage with other bluegrass bands in the area. Charlotte is on the varsity Golf team at Clovis East, is an avid reader, a thinker and enjoys life. Charlotte always has a smile!
Jack Kinney Plays mandolin, fiddle, sings, and background harmony.
Jack is a sophomore at Sanger High School. . Music has been part of his life since he started studying violin at the age of 6. He’s taken lessons to learn the “fiddle style” for eight years, but has also studied classical violin for the past six years. He continued to develop his skills with traditional fiddle music and began entering competitions where he has been ranked among the top five fiddlers in his age category for the last four years. He has performed with The String Bandits, Uncle Ephus Band, The Bluegrass Kids and the Valley Oak Band.
Danny Metzger plays guitar, sings, backup harmony, and writes songs.Danny is a junior at Central High School and was introduced to the guitar by a friend five years ago and has been playing ever since. Music has come naturally to Danny, as he has taught himself to play with the help and guidance from his friend
Bryon, who introduced him to bluegrass music. He practices his guitar skills and singing every day (and night) and usually has a guitar in his hand when home. Danny loves to spend his spare time playing guitar and writing songs. He is always working on a song or melody. Danny love music and will be performing one of his original songs on August 26th.
Colin Clark-Bracewell plays fiddle, sings and back-up harmony.
Colin, a Canadian born 10 year old, has always loved performing for others. He began violin when he was four years old and performs with the Youth Orchestras of Fresno (Y.O.O.F) at CA State University Fresno. He was first introduced to bluegrass music three years ago when a schoolmate (and now band mate) Jack Kinney, played in the talent show. After hearing the uniqueness of the bluegrass sound, Colin decided to try his hand at the fiddle and has been taking lessons since. Currently, he performs at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater in the Junior Company Players, where he sings and dances. Since being a part of The Bluegrass Kids, he has had the opportunity to play the fiddle and occasionally perform a classic Elvis song. Colin is in grade 6 at Fairmont Elementary School in Sanger and has two brothers and three sisters. Colin loves performing and hopes to continue throughout his life.
Ella Campbell plays fiddle, sings and back up harmony.
Ella is in 6th grade at Coarsegold Elementary School. She has been playing fiddle for three years. In addition to the Bluegrass Kids, Ella enjoys playing fiddle with the local chapter of the California State Old Time Fiddler's Association. She is also busy preparing for and competing in fiddle competitions throughout the state.
