His name may not be familiar to you, but his work definitely is. His name is Bill Dietzel. The 78-year-old Air Force vet has worked for years to organize and oversee the Fresno Veteran's Day Parade and the VA Hospital's Wall of Honor. But now, after his recent diagnosis with cancer, he's on the receiving end of love and support from his fellow veterans.

A fundraising event, "Veterans Giving Back," will be held in honor of Bill Dietzel on April 15th at American Legion Post 509. For information on tickets or to make a donation contact the post at: (559) 224-0522 or stop by its location: 3509 N. First Street (north of Shields) in Fresno.

Those buying tickets to the event on the 15th will receive a free wash and wax ($65 value) from the Great American Car Wash.

And the riders of Post 509 have also planned a Stage 4 Cancer Rally on May 12th. Contact the post (at the number or location above) for more information.
