My other recommendation for HOF election is Joel Cegielski. A few years ago at a class reunion they said Joel still held the school record at Fresno High for the 220. In addition to that Joel was a member of the Fresno police force for many years. I am certain he did an excellent job of community service as an officer. I knew Joel and liked him, but wasn't what one would term a close friend, so it is not any cronieism involved. That is why submit Joel as a worthy candidate for election.

I wish to correct something Neil, my son sent. It was nice of him to mention my name, but I was hardly HOF caliber. I was a member of Bob Fries' first cross country championship, and I won first place in the City track meet and the League track meet in 1957 In a letter to Pete Mehas I mentioned that I was surprised that none of the Van Galder family had been elected. Dick was our classmate, and had a great record as a basketball coach during his adult years.
