Valley Animal Center No-Kill Shelter Change Campaign

By KSEE Sunrise

Follks from the Valley Animal Center and Union Bank appeared on KSEE Sunrise to talk about their Change Campaign to raise money for their no-kill animal shelter.

The annual “Change Campaign” kicks off on Saturday, March 29. Bring your pocket change and pets to Union Bank’s Fashion Fair branch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money for the no-kill shelter. The branch is located at 565 East Shaw Avenue.

“The Change Campaign” is a fundraiser to raise money and awareness for the new Valley Animal Center, a state-of-the-art, no-kill animal shelter for dogs and cats. Using the bank’s coin counting machines, families can donate their change to the campaign. The bank will accept donations at selected Central Valley branches from March 29 through April 12 and will also donate $5,000 to the cause.

Valley Animal Center President Christine Thornton said, “Words cannot express my deepest gratitude for all of the volunteers, donors, and businesses for having faith in this project and also understanding the importance it will have in impacting animal welfare in our community and beyond. We’re very grateful for the continued support of Union Bank and the community for their part in helping us raise needed funds to support the well-being of the dogs and cats in our care.”

“Union Bank is proud to support this effort for the fourth year in a row,” said Michael Girazian, senior vice president and regional manager for the bank’s Central Valley branches. “The shelter gives many animals a second chance so they can be adopted and enrich the lives of Valley families.”
