This morning on KSEE Sunrise, Katie and beginning yoga instructor Louise Bauer Davoli from Coil Yoga show us how to reach our full potential.
Mahatma Gandhi said: "Be the change you want to see in the world."
BE the CHANGE you want to see in YOURSELF with Yoga
Two of Yoga’s most alluring characteristics are the mind/body connection and transformation through self-realization. Ask any new student who has taken a Yoga class for the first time and they will most likely tell you that they can already feel the benefits of the practice. Starting anything new can be an intimidating and down right scary thing for ALL of us, so what keeps us from breaking out of our little boxes and exploring our potential? Most likely the answer for all of us is based on some kind of FEAR.
So how do we get started with Yoga or anything new with FEAR in the way??? YOU JUST JUMP IN heart first and surrender. You will never know how something will impact your life if you don’t put yourself out there and FEEL what life has to offer. Say no to the fear that will eat away your courage to get out there in life and really start LIVING!
Today we are here with COIL Yoga Instructor Louise Bauer Davoli who teaches our Intro to Yoga series for new students. Louise started out over 6 years ago right where all of you “newbies” sitting at home watching right now, at the BEGINNING.
It is from her experience that she teaches her students to learn the practice one breath at a time and inspires others to embrace the gifts that Yoga offers. Louise has made incredible transformations in her own life from her experience as a student and now as a teacher. YOU too can make your own incredible transformations in mind, body and spirit.
We are going to demonstrate a sequence of postures that represent the stages of a pose that a beginner would go through over the course of their practice, from the beginning foundation to the full expression of the pose. Feel free to join us in trying the first few postures and then progress at your own pace according to your experience with Yoga. For those of you ready to try Yoga, please check out our Intro to Yoga Series Workshop starting tonight May 13th-June 24th from 5:45-7:00 pm every Tuesday at COIL Yoga.
Namaste’-
