It's almost like a flashback to turn-of-the-century railroading. The Reedley Rail Fest happens this weekend on Sat. & Sun., Oct. 11 & 12 from 10am to 5pm and serves as a kick off to the opening of the Hillcrest Farms pumpkin patch.

I attended Sunday afternoon, arriving at around 11:30. We stayed until 3:30ish and had a wonderful time!!! It was nice to see the usual trains again, and the big traction engine was a hoot. It's always nice to see and talk with John Lassiter and see the Marie E in action. Thanks for a wonderful event!

Kathy, I'm not sure who you spoke with, but I was one of the volunteers at the event and we ran all day Saturday and Sunday (yesterday). Thousands attended. The feedback we had from the crowds was fantastics. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Hope to see you next year.

I just thought I would let you know that you were given the incorrect dates for the Reedley Railfest. I drove 3 hours & my Dad drove 2 hours to go to this event on Sunday to find out that it was on Friday & Saturday. :( The nice lady that I stopped and spoke to regarding this event told me that they used to hold it on the weekends. Now they hold it on Friday & Saturday. I know my Dad & I missed a good time. He really likes trains of any shape and size! Thanks, Kathy
