Identity theft is a growing crime. In the city of Fresno alone, there are 400-500 cases reported each month. There are many ways to limit your risk of becoming a victim. One of them is to shred important documents. KSEE Sunrise reporter Pamela Prado spends the morning live in Fig Garden Village with how you can shred items for free at several locations over the next few weeks. Central Valley Community Bank is providing "Shred-It" mobile paper shredding trucks at various bank branches. You can shred up to six banker boxes worth of paper. There may be a charge for additional items. The truck will be at Fig Garden Village (in the parking lot between Whole Foods and Belana) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26. The next three will be at Central Valley Community Bank branches. You do not need to be a client of the bank to shred your documents.
