Fresno Obon Festival this weekend

The Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Temple is hosting the 64th Annual Fresno Obon Dance on Saturday, July 11 with this year's theme: "One Last Dance." Faith Sidlow talked with Reverend Kurt Rye and the Bon Odori dancers.

The festival begins at 3:00 p.m. with traditional Japanese food including Teriyaki chicken, ribs, beef sticks, sushi, and chicken bowls. Cultural exhibits include Bonsai, Ikebana, traditional odori demonstrations, tea ceremony demonstration and temple history sessions. Obon dancing begins at 7:30 p.m.

The Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Temple is located at 1340 Kern Street in Fresno.
