The Tulare County Toy Run hopes to benefit more than 4000 children who might otherwise have to do without this holiday season. This morning on KSEE Sunrise, Faith Sidlow talked with the organizers who brought in a brand new Harley Davidson that's going to be raffled during the event.

The 17th Annual Tulare County Toy Run Sunday, October 25th, 2009. Sign in begins at 8:30am at Visalia Harley-Davidson, located at 30681 HWY 99 in Goshen. Admission to this event is $25.00 per person plus one new unwrapped toy. Participants can pre-register at any time at Visalia Harley-Davidson. The poker run procession begins at 10:00am with assistance from the Tulare County Sheriffs Department and the California Highway Patrol. We will be riding loud and proud east along HWY 198 to our first stop in Farmersville and will end at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino for food, fun and prizes. Our goal is to collect over 1000 toys and raise $50,000 which will be used to provide toys and warm clothing for less fortunate children in Tulare County this Christmas. Last year we had over 500 bikers and we raised over $47,000 (Approx 4600 toys). All proceeds benefit the children as expenses are donated or paid by sponsors. We are selling raffle tickets to WIN a Grand Prize of a 2010 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® Iron 883™ or a Flatscreen TV, a cruise for two, a digital camera, IPOD and over $2000 in additional prizes! Tickets are available now for $20 each or 6 for $100 and are limited to 2500.

The best vantage point to watch the bikes pass through Visalia will be from one of the several overpasses along HWY 198. Major sponsors of the event are Visalia Harley-Davidson and Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino. We need the support of the community to make this another successful year! ALL BIKERS ARE WELCOME!!
