A new free form style of Yoga that helps you unleash your creative inner spirit! This morning on KSEE Sunrise, Marie DiBona Herzog and Sarah Schaaf of COIL Yoga demonstrated Yoga Trance Dancing.

This was created by Shiva Rea, a well known and respected Yoga teacher here in the United States. This practice will challenge you to find your creative inner spirit and let it all GO! There are no rules on alignment but rather a focus on trusting your natural rhythms and going with the flow! This is a really fun, energizing workout for the mind, body and soul! This practice is open to ANYONE who is curious and open to the experience!

We are putting on a special Halloween inspired Yoga Trance Dance this Friday to benefit an organization called “Trees For the Future”. Join us at COIL Yoga to dance the night away with Marie! Created by Shiva Rea, Yoga Trance Dance is a contemporary exploration of the spirit of dance within yoga. Beginning with prana yoga or the experience of prana initiating yoga asanas, yoga trance dance flows into an exploration of free-form, breath driven movement to liberate one’s creative life force and cultivate embodied freedom.
