Donations Needed at Community Food Bank

By KSEE News

Community Food Bank supplies food to thousands of families across the Central Valley. Recently, the non-profit organization was able to receive state funding to distribute food in communities hit hard by high unemployment as a result of the drought. That program has come to an end, but the need continues. KSEE 24's Pamela Prado spends the morning live at Community Food Bank with more on the situation.

The food bank has a goal of distributing around 10,000 holiday meal boxes for Thanksgiving, although the need is even greater. Donations of money (the food bank can stretch $1 into $8 worth of food) and volunteers are needed. If you can help, call (559) 237-FOOD (3663) or click here:

And if you need help, you can call that same number and you'll be directed a food pantry in your community.
