The "Be a Santa to a Senior" program is underway. You'll see decorated trees at 22 Walgreens locations in Fresno and Madera Counties. The program, sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care, allows the public to choose a name, buy a gift, then drop it in a bin (wrapped or unwrapped). Those gifts are then given to local seniors who may otherwise not get a gift this holiday season. The program runs through December 12th. Local law enforcement agencies, including the Madera County Sheriff's Department and the Sanger Police Department will be assisting in the delivery of gifts.
