Granville Homes, in conjunction with eight local non-profits and local dignitaries, will celebrate the Grand Opening of their sixth annual Granville Home of Hope on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., which is open to the public. Located at the La Ventana community (Bullard & Grantland), this year’s home is a new 2,413 square foot floor plan, the Granville Eco-Smart Sonata, built in a cul de sac next to the community park.
The Granville Home of Hope began in 2006, helping provide food, shelter, education, and healthcare for those in the Central Valley who are less fortunate. Since then, the fundraiser – Granville’s largest – has raised over $1.9 million to serve the community. Beneficiaries for the 2011 Granville Home of Hope include: Community Food Bank, Poverello House, Hinds Hospice, Assistance League, Renaissance Scholars at Fresno State, and the Foundations for Clovis, Sanger, and Central Schools.
“During these difficult economic times, the underprivileged in our community and the local non-profits who serve them, need assistance more than ever from programs like the Granville Home of Hope. We are proud to have built the 6th home this year and we are grateful to the thousands of valley participants who help raise money for these local non-profits,” states Granville Homes’ president – and founder of the Granville Home of Hope, Darius Assemi. Granville attributes the success of the Granville Home of Hope fundraiser to the local support of their homeowners, trade and media partners and tickets purchasers. The Grand Prize drawing for the 2011 Granville Home of Hope will take place on October 8, 2011.
Immediately following the Grand Opening ceremony, guests are invited for a Granville Movie in the Park located at the community park next to the home.
