Protest at Coalinga State Hospital

By Assignment Desk

Dozens of people protested outside the Coalinga State Hospital on Sunday. They say many people inside the hospital are being held indefinitely, even though they have served their time in prison. Most of those being held are sexually violent predators.

The protesters say many of those inside may spend the rest of their lives in the hospital, often against their will.

But state officials say many of those being held under civil detainment are refusing treatment that would help them become members of society again.

This is so wrong! Let them go! If they did their time, let them go! When did the state start adding more to a sentence after they have finished their time? This is wrong in every way and against everything freedom stands for!!! Let them go!!

They should never be let back into society! The crimes that they have committed will never be reversed! The poor children and women they have tortured will NEVER forget! They don't deserve to be back in society!

For those who are easily fooled by politics and prosecutors, in reality some of these guys are there for things like boyfriend 18 has sex with girlfriend 16, both in love. Guy picks up crying child. This too is considered molestation. Touching someone on the shoulder, is molestation. Hope your husband or son never wind up here. Because the way, it's going 1 in 10 are behind bars and increasing.

MOST OF THOS MEN HAVE VIOLENT HISTORIES. YOU DON'T GO TO PRISON FOR "TOUCHING SOMEONES SHOULD". THESE MEN HAVE COMMITTED HORRIBLE ACTS AND WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE NEGATIVE IMPACT THEY HAVE HAD ON INNOCENT LIVES.

I don't think most of you are aware of who is housed at Coalinga. These are not 1st time offenders or minor offenders. These are sexually violent predators who have been convicted of numerous crimes so horrifying you would not wish them on your worst enemy, much less a helpless child. These are not 1 time date rapists, these men have tortored children and destroyed lives. This is the answer to a failed justice system who would release these men into our communities to rape and torture again.
