Fresno mayoral candidates mingle with young professionals

Seven of the 11 candidates vying for the Fresno mayor's office were out in downtown Fresno Tuesday night, attending a party designed to bring the candidates and young local voters together.

The "Mayoral Meet & Greet" was hosted by "Fresno's Leading Young Professionals" and held at the Twenty 39 Ultra Lounge in Downtown Fresno.

Candidates in attendance were: Ashley Swearingin, Jeff Eben, Tom Boyajian, Jim Boswell, Mike Dages, Jerry Duncan and Henry T. Perea.

Fresno's Leading Young Professionals is a non-profit organization that includes more than 1,500 members between the ages of 25-35.

FLYP says their purpose is to bridge the gap between the established generation and the leaders of tomorrow, and attract and retain young professionals in Fresno.

The next mayoral debate is scheduled for April 2.
