The future of the South Valley town of Lemoore is still undecided after a planning commission meeting Monday night that drew dozens of citizens and prompted heated debate.

At issue are large tracts of land near Lemoore Naval Air Station that developers want to build homes on, but the Navy says the plan will put the neighborhood right under the flight path of low flying military aircraft.

The members of the commission were scheduled to vote on a final recommendation to the Lemoore City Council at the end of Monday's meeting. But after several hours, the planning commission decided to postpone their vote until April 14.
