It may be a sign of economic times in Fresno County. A county sponsored job fair drew record crowds of people looking for work.
The job fair organizers say Fresno County is one of the toughest places to find work right now because there are no major companies here, and much work is based on agriculture and construction, two areas hit hard by the current economic slowdown.

Companies at the job fair also reported that many people were there looking for second jobs to help make ends meet because of rising mortgage payments and gas prices.
