The City of Madera is planning for future growth. Monday night, residents were asked to weigh in at a workshop. The workshop was put on by consultants hired to help grow and develop the city.

Dozens of people attended the meeting to pitch their ideas on what they believe would make Madera a more livable place.

City consultants say those ideas could be implemented into the cities updated general plan.

More workshops will take place through the summer. By October, the city will start creating the updated general plan with the feedback they are gathering from residents.
