Hanford police arrested two Hanford High School students Friday afternoon for their alleged involvement in a pipe bomb explosion on campus Thursday.

Police say they found bomb making materials in a home just 200 yards away from where the explosion happened.

The teenagers, aged 15 and 16, are facing seven felony counts between them involving domestic terrorism. They are expected to stay in custody over the weekend. Authorities have not identified the suspects.

Thursday afternoon, a pipe bomb exploded near the campus auto shop. It sent debris flying 30 feet way. No one was injured.

After the incident, the school was placed on lock down for about 3 hours as a precautionary measure. Afterward, students were sent home.
