Man accused of Clovis murder appears in court

By KSEE News

Cantrell Ellis wept as he made his first court appearance Tuesday. He is accused of stabbing to death his estranged wife Charlotte last week in a home she had recently moved into in Clovis.

Ellis was given more time to prepare before entering a plea. He has been charged with several crimes including murder.

Meanwhile, KSEE 24 News has learned that a second victim in this case, a 38-year-old man who has not been identified, may have been in a relationship with Charlotte Ellis, and that could have been the motive for the attack.
