Hundreds mistakenly sold diesel fuel

It's estimated hundreds of local drivers may have pumped the wrong fuel into their vehicles, after diesel fuel was mistakenly put into tanks meant to dispense regular and premium gasoline.

If you bought gas between 11 p.m. Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Friday at "Bad Bud’s" at Herndon and Cedar, the Valero station at Blackstone and cedar in Fresno you may have reason to be concerned. Station owners confirmed Friday that diesel fuel was accidentally mixed in with regular gas.

The Costco in Merced off of “R” Street is also reporting gas contamination.

The Cal Fresno Oil Company, which supplies the gas, said it obtained their supply from Kinder Morgan.

The affected gas stations are now pumping out 50-thousand gallons of gas from their tanks.

If you experience problems with your car, take your gas receipt back to the gas station and they will reimburse you and pay for repairs.
