Fresno High School students faint from heat

By Carolyn Bruck

What started as a competition for extra credit at Fresno High School ends in emergency.

Fresno High School Principal, Bob Reyes says around 10:30 this morning two girls collapsed while racing around the track.

An ambulance is called and the girls are taken to the hospital and treated for dehydration and heat exhaustion.

In an unusual turn, another girl falls an hour later.

Incidents like these have students bracing themselves for the triple digit temperatures.
