Clifford Finch Appears in Court with Son by his Side

By KSEE News

The incident happened last September, but Clifford Finch is just now well enough to appear in the courtroom. He was shot multiple times during the the stand-off with police that left him partially paralyzed.

Clifford Finch arrived for his scheduled court appearance in a wheel chair. Following the brief hearing, Olympic snow boarder Andy Finch pushed his dad down the hall and outside of the courthouse. "Obviously I got a whoopin. It's tough. It's tough getting around. A lot of pain, " said Clifford Finch.

Last fall, Clifford Finch allegedly threatened his wife's life and then police caught up with him on the street, engaging them in a shoot-out. Finch didn't injure any of the officers, but he was shot multiple times. One bullet remains in his body. His family believes he suffered a mental break-down, possibly traumatic stress disorder, related to military service in Vietnam. "It's been a long road to this point. It's been incredibly tough. The Lord has really shown his grace through this, " said Andy Finch, "There's a list of miracles that have happened." Andy finch said he will be with hid dad every step of the way, relying on prayer, and support from his family and the community.

Clifford Finch is facing attempted murder charges. So will this case go to trial? If his attorney has anything to say about it, it will not. Ralph Torres said he hopes to reach an agreement with the prosecution.
