it's one of the most popular soap operas on day time television and the NBC studio in Burbank is where it all happens. Our tour guide was Darin Brooks, better known as "Max Brady" He is the former race car driver, turned bar tender who in just the three years on the show, has already had quite a life. He said he used to fund illegal prostitution and done plenty of other crazy things as Max.

Brooks walked us through the fictional town of Salem, home to some of the most outlandish and most memorable story lines. He showed us the many mansions that host the trials and tribulations of feuding families--serial killings, baby swamping, affairs and lots of brainwashing.

As Brooks took us to each set, we wondered, what was real and what's not . I got an acting lesson on slapping.

While we were given our tour, it was hard not to notice the actors preparing for their scenes. Marlena Evans, played by Deidre Hall took time from shooting to tell us about her 30 years with the show. Hall said fans can expect some new exciting twists in her relationship with John

Renee Jones, who plays Lexie Carver said she can remember watching the show as a little girl.

Brooked says viewers should definitely keep watching "Days," because he senses some excitement with his character. One thing you can bet, it will probably involve his current love interest, Stephanie Johnson, played by Shelley Hennig. We caught up with her in hair and make- up. As one of the newer members of the cast she said you never know what the writers are going to do with your character.
