Richard Medina Torres, the soldier from Fresno who has been in prison in Juarez, Mexico, was freed Friday afternoon. His mother here in Fresno got the word today and let KSEE 24 News know about the happy turn of events. Torres had been put in prison after making a Wong turn in El Paso, TX and being forced to drive across the Mexican border. He had weapons in his car and that is why he was arrested and jailed.
