Fresno State Is College World Series Bound

The Fresno State Baseball Team will head to the College World Series after taking down Arizona State 12-9 .
After a long and tense game, Fresno State has knocked off Arizona State, and are headed to the College World Series.
The temperature reached nearly 120 degrees tonight before the first pitch tonight, but that wasn't what was making bulldog fans here in Fresno sweat it out.
Head Coach Mike Batesole was trying to do something neither Pete Beiden, or Bob Bennett could do, win a Super Regional Championship, and become the first 4 seed to reach the college world series.
The Sun Devils had only lost one post season game at Packard Stadium; earlier this week to the bulldogs.
The game picked up in the seventh inning, when the Dogs scored six runs.
Things were tense, however, in the ninth inning. All pitcher Brandon Burke needed was three outs... But the Sun Devils tried to mount a come back, scoring four runs.
Then, with full bases, Steve Susdorf caught a fly ball, ending the game, and sending the Bulldogs to Omaha for the College world series.
