Fresno police busted two illegal chop shops and made several arrests at two nearby locations.
The first bust happened in the 100 block of west Pinedale. A tip led officers to find a chop shop at the location. Officers say several vehicles were being stripped when they arrived. Two people were arrested, and police are looking for one more suspect.
Sgt. Tim Tietjen of the Fresno Police Department said, "We've detained two and there's one outstanding. We know that individual, we know who he is, and we're not gonna give that out right now. With what we know, we're gonna find them, we're arrest them and again, if you do auto theft in the city of Fresno, we're gonna find you and arrest you."
The second happened nearby in the 200 block of Pinedale. A trailer was stolen Wednesday from the Perrin and Champlain area. Officers found two locations connected as one illegal chop shop. The trailer was found, and three people were arrested.
