Brown Apple Moth Aerial Spraying Stopped

Valley Ag Leaders and Growers say a Light Brown Apple Moth infestation in the Central Valley could be devastating...Not just to growers...But what you pay at the market for fruit.
An environmentalist group from Monterey County brought a lawsuit against the State complaining health and environmental concerns. A Judge ruled on Thursday's that the State needed to provide an Environmental Impact Assessment before any aerial spraying could proceed. The Group, "Helping Our Peninsula's Environment" is ecstatic as the state suspended spraying a pheromone pesticide, that they say had secret ingredients.
Eradication efforts will continue, but now they'll take on different forms.

This article exhibits the same scare tactics that have been used by the state from the beginning. This isn't about the moth. It is about money that may be acquired from the government, by the CDFA, if they announce an emergency. Two judges, after reviewing the facts, have stated that there was no emergency and that it was a false emergency created by the CDFA and Kawamura. The farm communities are being used by these people and by the people who create the pesticides.
