Multiple Overnight Murders in the Valley

It was a case of domestic violence that ended in an unthinkable way. A 17-year-old girl was killed and her step-father pulled the trigger and then turned the gun on himself.

It happened just before three Sunday morning, in the 300 block of Serano street in Merced.

Another murder in the valley, this one in Fresno on the property of an elementary school. It happened just before 5 a.m. Sunday. An alarm sounded at Lincoln Elementary. A security guard went to check it out and found a person dead on the campus grounds. She suffered a gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as 50-year- old Roberta Faye Gaines of Fresno. This was the 21st murder for Fresno in 2008.

Another overnight murder happened in the valley, this one in the south valley. It was the result of a drive by shooting at a party. The Tulare county sheriff's department was called to the 800 block of S. Walnut in Pixley, just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities found four people hit by gunfire. A 15-year-old boy was killed. The three other males, ranging in ages 16 to 23 suffered moderate injuries.

Shootings in the south valley didn't stop there. A 17- year-old male was shot to death in Goshen. It happened just before 4 a.m. Sunday. The sheriff's department arrived at Kaweah Delta Hospital to learn a shooting had just taken place on Kame drive. It is unclear how the shooting happened. The victim's friends took him to the hospital where he died.

The final incident occurred in Madera. At 2 a.m. Sunday morning, Madera police were called to the 100 block of Cypress Ave. to investigate the possible death of a woman. They found a deceased female. After further investigation they learned the woman's boyfriend may have been involved in the incident. Approximately two hours later, authorities located the suspect in the area of L and 6th streets. A confrontation ensued. Police shot the suspect. He is expected to survive.

so, if questions need to be answered as to how or why the murder happened, why is the crime scene being tampered? No CSI? I've had bad experiences with the dept. and their EXTREMELY SLOW response time. Makes me wonder if someone else could have been saved.
