One of the South Valley's most notorious suspects speaks out from his jail cell.
In letters exclusively obtained by KSEE 24 News, Dave Hawk continues his allegations that he's being tried in the court of public opinion.
He also alleges civil rights violations, a death threat and threats of arrest to his family and friends.

All these letters and no mention of the ones really suffering the loss of both their parents; his children. What is wrong with a man who doesn't discuss his children's pain here? Tough one to understand. Prayer for his children.

Dave waived his right to a speedy trial on the felonies he was arrested for in June 2007. For those unfamiliar with the law, at this point it's up to HIS attorney to move the matters forward. But then his atty is racking up those billable hours so why would he be in a rush? Convicted wife killer Hans Reiser rqsted a speedy trial in Oakland and got it. Dave could, too, but has not done so. He could also ask for a change of venue. Bail is usually not granted in 1st degree murder cases.

Dave Hawk may or may not have committed this crimes, whether or not we think he is or isnt guilty doesnt matter as he has not been convicted of any crimes, our justice system is slow and sloppy, he may very well be guilty but the potential jury pool will be tainted so that is very unfair but what can u do, Give the man bail or give him a trial, i seriously doubt with his notoriety that hes a danger to the public, this place is turning more and more into a police state, Get dave a trial!

I see Dave is still playing the victim with more baseless allegations. It's easy to claim threats and such for publicity. Law enforcement on the other hand has to actually have evidence to prove their case. More rantings from a sociopath who's convinced himself he's done nothing wrong. He's got lots of folks from his church ready to drink the purple Kool Aid if he tells them to. As for the delays, it's his attorney who can't seem to wade thru the mountains of evidence and get the trial date set.
