Gang injunction hopes to stop "Dog Pound"

Gang violence has plagued South Fresno for decades.
Legal action was taken today to stop one gang in particular , the so- called "Dog Pound" gang.

The area that is "Dog Pound" territory is now a legal "safety zone" under the guidelines of the newly signed gang injunction.

The safety zone covers the entire "Dog Pound" gang territory bounded by Martin Luther King Boulevard, Jensen Avenue, Annadale Avenue and Elm Avenue.

i think that it is a great thing, i remember as a kid we could stay out and play or just hang out with friends, time has changed, and the reason that it has changed so much is because we have got lacked on opening our mouths and standing up for what is right..we need to take back our streets and stop letting gangs tell us how to live.. thank you kris

I guess alleged Dog Pound Gang Members have lost all civil rights...I don't agree with gang violence but I also don't agree with violation of constitutional rights. If 3 or more people are together & dressed alike meets DOJ criteria for an officer to DESIGNATE you as a gang member-whether you are or not-shouldn't Fresno PD and Fresno SO also have their civil rights revoked?
