Agricultural leaders rally

By KSEE News

More than 1,000 farmers and farm workers plan to rally in Sacramento this Wednesday to show their support for the Governor's nearly 10 billion dollar water improvement plan.

Over 20 buses are scheduled to leave various parts of the Valley early Wednesday morning to organize on the State Capitol steps.

Notable Valley leaders also plan to attend the rally.
Mayor Alan Autry and Assembly Member Juan Arambula are scheduled to speak at the event.

The organizers of this rally say recent court - ordered water cutbacks, mounting job losses and prospects of prolonged drought prompted this gathering.
