Teen Accused of Killing Toddler Appears in Court

The 16-year-old accused of killing his cousin entered a plea of not guilty to the three charges against him. He arrived in court Thursday morning in a jumpsuit and shackles. His attorney said the teen is sorry for what happened to the little boy.

The Merced County Coroner released the findings of the autopsy. The cause of death was trauma to the abdomen.
