Chief Jerry Dyer says Fresno Police have made a dent in the local and nationwide trafficking of crystal meth. Four arrests have been made and the DEA is seeking extradition on a fifth suspect. Police seized 30 lbs. of meth, a street value of $450,000. While much of the trafficking occurred in California, police say the supplier had dealings in Chicago, Atlanta and Houston. Chief Dyer lauded the department's narcotics unit, saying that so far in 2008, agents have seized 150 lbs. of meth with an estimated street value of $5,000,000.
