Prostate cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in men, which is why people came here to the California Cancer Center, a member of Community Medical Centers to raise awareness of the disease and spread the word to get tested early.

In the wake of a three network event to raise national awareness of cancer, people in the Central Valley are hosting an event of their own. While the thought of prostate cancer can be scary, proper screening and early detection can make all the difference prostate exams are often the subject of medical jokes and can be a bit uncomfortable which is why many men just don't get tested the truth is a prostate exam involves a simple blood test and a short physical examination, but before any of that can happen, the trick is getting meninto the screenings in the first place.

Doctors from the Urology Associates of Central California who provided the free medical services today suggest that you st you start screenings at the age of fifty and even as early as 40 for people who have risk factors associated with prostate cancer.
