Suspect wanted in possible molestation of 9-year-old girl

SUSPECT WANTED FOR POSSIBLE CHILD ASSAULT
Parents are reminded to talk to children about stranger danger
Police Chief Jerry Dyer is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a
suspect who possibly assaulted a nine-year-old female.
On Monday, September 15, 2008, the Fresno Police Department received a
report of an unknown suspect who picked up a nine-year-old female while
she walked home from school in Southeast Fresno. The female may have
been molested. This incident is being investigated as a possible crime.
The suspect is described as an African American adult, 40 years-old, with a
height between 5'7” and 5'10”, weighing 165-190 lbs.
Parents are reminded to teach their children about the dangers associated
with talking to or accepting rides from strangers.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective
Gordon-Huffenberger at 621-2437, or remain anonymous by calling Crime
Stoppers at 498-STOP.
