It has been a difficult couple of weeks for the California State University Fresno Association. First ,the story broke that Student President Mackee Mason and his vice president purchased alcohol for minors during a student government retreat,. Then they admitted it and were placed on probation. Now the Association's former director is suing the Association with a list of allegations.

The nine-page complaint described Annie Tremp's history at the University, which began more than a year ago. She said things were fine until April, when she claimed Mason told her that her job would be in jeopardy if he was not elected to the presidency.

In July, she was apparently handling the Association's finances when she noticed alcohol purchases and brought it to the attention of her superiors. About a month later, she lost her job.

Tremp's attorney spoke with KSEE 24 news Thursday. He believes his client has a strong case. The lawsuit sites six claims including harassment, age discrimination, wrongful termination, interference with business relations, defamation and indemnification. The suit described an alleged situation that followed the alcohol incident. The complaint read, "Mr. Mason retaliated by closing the entire ASI office, and then by altering plaintiff's job description, reducing her responsibilities and status within the organization, replacing her with a substantially younger person on various responsibilities, and finally suspending plaintiff from her employment."

Tremp claimed on Aug. 29, she was offered four months pay, if she would waive all claims of discrimination. She rejected the offer. We did attempt to reach Association officials, including Mason. No one was available for comment.
