Over 600 thousand valley residents will visit the Big Fresno Fair this year. That's more people than Fresno & Clovis combined.
With numbers like that the Fresno Police are bringing their Community Policing mentality to the fair. You'll see Police everywhere and but the security starts at the gate.
Jon Brent was at the Fair Friday night and reports that while the party has started, keeping the "Big Times" secure is all about a big police presence.

im so glad i was able to see the BIG FRESNO FAIR on the web if nothing else, we've moved to Nevada Co, but im leaving today we will not miss the fair we are going on a road trip guys!

Looking at this clip reminds me of visiting my brother in prison...metal detectors and cops! How secured are you when the police are just as bad as criminals :) Have fun wasting your money and getting harrassed!
