A sign of the hard economic times, as hundreds turn out for a promotion by the California State lottery. A gas station at Jensen and Maple was giving away $50 worth of free gas to the first 200 people who bought $10 worth of Pick 4 lottery scratch off tickets. Many said they were there to take advantage of the deal because they are having a hard time filling up their tanks. The giveaway started at 10 am, but people started lining up at 7 am for the free gas.
