Local firefighters head to Southern California

By Geoff Roth

Central Valley firefighters are heading down to Southern California to help battle wildfires being fueled by Santa Ana winds. Five engines were sent out from the dispatch center in Clovis, and hundreds of local firefighters are prepared to move out if the fires grow. The local crews are heading to a staging area in Riverside to be dispatched as needed.
