Robbery ends in bizarre death of suspect

An early morning robbery in Fresno turned deadly. Shortly after 4 a.m. a man entered the Alberto's Restaurant at Cedar and Dakota and demanded money from an employee, threatening to stab the employee with a screwdriver. The suspect them fled on a bicycle. While fleeing, the suspect apparently fell of his bike and stabbed himself in the leg with the screwdriver. Police say he punctured an artery and bled to death from his injuries.
