Hanson says teacher changed Edison football player's grade

An Edison High School math teacher who claimed someone changed the grade of a star football player at the school is now said to be the person who changed the grade. Teacher Jeff Powell said he gave the student an "F", but later discovered the grade had been changed to an "A". Today, FUSD Superintendent Michael Hanson said an investigation showed no one but Powell could have changed the grade.

At a news conference Tuesday morning, Hanson said an exhaustive investigation that took more than 500 hours, and included interviews with 27 adults and 13 students plus reviews of school computer systems, showed no evidence that anyone else changed the grade.

Powell was placed on administrative leave two weeks ago. He told KSEE 24 News on Tuesday that he was hurt by the allegation and contends he was not the person who changed the grade. Hanson said he is sure the matter will wind up in the courts.

I know without a doubt that this student received an "F". However, somehow he received an "A-". Every person and every computer that has anything to do with this student is gone, missing , or taken , or distroyed. HMMM! Something not right and someone should be punished but the teacher.

I remember hearing the kid missed most of the class time. I think Hansen is overpaid and is another Welty, wasting taxpayer money.
