In a groundbreaking move, the Fresno Unified School District is teaming up with the Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission to make all 106 schools in the district "Safe Place" havens for troubled youth.
FUSD becomes the first district in the country to make all of its schools Safe Place havens.

As a Safe Place, students who are dealing with issues in their personal lives such as abuse or drug problems can go to any school and meet with a counselor to get help.
