Former teacher held in jail

By KSEE News

A federal judge has ordered a former teacher held in jail, saying he poses a threat to the community. Ephraim Aguirre II appeared in federal court on Tuesday, accused of possessing hundreds of child porn pictures. But, it was comments made by Aguirre in online chat rooms that made the judge keep Aguirre in jail.
In the 15 page federal affidavit, investigators said that Aguirre posted comments in chat rooms saying he wanted to abduct, rape, and then kill young children. Aguirre told investigators that the comments were just fantasies and that he would never harm anyone. His lawyer said Aguirre made the comments to gain the trust of people online who may have sent him pornographic pictures.
In the affidavit, Aguirre said he had an addiction to child porn, but in court today he pleaded not guilty to the charges,
Aguirre worked as a temporary teacher at both Lawless Elementary and McLane High School in Fresno. In a separate case, Aguirre is also charged with having sex with an under aged teen who worked as a teaching assistant for him.
