Tulare District Hospital contemplating cutbacks

By KSEE News

Hundreds of employees packed the meeting of the Tulare District Hospital board of directors on Wednesday, worried about their jobs. There has been talk of cutbacks and outsourcing of jobs. But at the meeting, board members only said they have hired a consultant to review jobs and efficiency at the hospital, and no decisions have been made yet about personnel. Thrown into the mix is the hospital's decision to take over two medical clinics that the Tulare Board of Supervisors voted to shut down earlier in the week.

The Consultants have already been. Lay offs will be by the end of the month.
